Lip Blush |£550

About

Lip tattooing can enhance the beauty of natural lip color, correct asymmetry, add fullness, definition and conceal your imperfections based on your skin tone and personal preference. Results are customized for every client, therefore, you can be sure to achieve the desired effect.

Bring in your favorite lipstick or a picture on the day of your appointment!

If you are prone to cold sores, Lip Tattooing can cause outbreaks. We ask that our clients take their prescribed anti-viral medication a few days prior to their appointment and after the procedure to prevent any cold sores.

If you have an outbreak, or any other type of scratch/acne on the lips we ask that you reschedule your appointment.

What to expect

  • There may be moderate swelling, redness and bruising for the first 3 days.

  • If you experience swelling, use the ice pack provided for no more than 15 minutes at a time to reduce swelling.

  • During the initial healing period, there should be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin. If there is some scabbing or flaking, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own.  This usually takes place within the first 3 days.

  • Expect the color to lighten up to 50-70% once the healing process is complete.

  • Color may appear uneven at different stages of healing. Be patient. This is a process that does not yield immediate results.

  • Permanent makeup ink is not the same as body art ink, and by design it does not last as long as body art ink. Permanent makeup does fade and is expected to last 2 to 5 years before requiring a touch-up. Maintenance touch ups are suggested for best results.

  • It can take 2 sessions prior to achieving the level of saturation you may desire.

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Depending on your skin, health and if you come for touchup refreshers, your tattoo will last from 2-5 years.

Here are some factors will cause your semi-permanent tattoo to fade faster:

  • Iron deficiency

  • Sun exposure

  • Exfoliants

  • Exposure to salt water

DOES IT HURT?

It is slightly uncomfortable but completely bearable. The tattooing process lasts about 1h-1h30min. Kristine uses an excessive amount of numbing prior and during the treatment and her technique is extremely gentle. DO NOT drink  coffee in your appointment day. Caffeine will cause you to bleed lots and also make you more sensitive during the procedure.

CAN I GET LIP BLUSH IF I HAVE DARK/COOL TONED LIPS?

Yes, however, on the first session we will have to color correct your lips to cancel out the cool tones. If we are to tattoo any other color you risk darkening your lips further or having absolutely no results at all. When healed at 12 weeks, most if not all of the darkness in your lips will be covered and your lips will have a nudey-pink even tone. Note that results cannot be guaranteed and lightening or evening out dark lips may take a few sessions. Under no circumstances will Kristine tattoo a "NUDE" color on dark or cool toned lips. If you are unsure if you have dark or cool toned lips you can send Kristine a picture of your lips in natural light to confirm. Lips too dark or thick will be rejected so please be sure to email pictures if your lips are extremely dark grey or black in color.

DO I NEED A TOUCHUP?

Touchups are recommended for everybody. On touchup sessions, we can alter the shape and color of your tattoo or go bolder or fill in spots that didn't retain pigment as well as others during healing. Touchups will also add longevity to the life of your tattoo. A Touchup can be booked no sooner than 4 weeks of your last appointment.

CAN I STILL GET LIP BLUSH IF I HAVE LIP FILLER?

Yes! In no way does having Lip filler interfere with the process of tattooing lips or the results. Note that lip filler and lip blush appointments MUST be at least 4 weeks apart from each other.

HOW CAN I PREPARE?

  • Do not consume caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours prior to your appointment to prevent excessive pain and bleeding.

  • Do NOT TAKE blood thinners such a Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 48-72 hrs prior to your procedure.

  • Avoid exercising the day of the procedure.

  • Do not take or get any chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing, vitamin E, retinols, fish oil, at least 4 weeks before your appointment.

  • If your appointment is booked during an outbreak of cold sores on your lips the procedure may not be done. Please be aware that you have the simplex virus herpes, you may awaken an outbreak following this treatment. It is highly recommended to take an anti-viral medication such as Aciclovir 5 days before, then the day of. Then 5 days after or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist.

  • Do not get lip injections 4 weeks before and after this treatment.

CAN YOU COVER UP AN OLD TATTOO?

Kristine does not do coverups of  lips. Please send over pictures of your previous tattoo to confirm that she is able to go over with a new treatment.

WHAT IF I'VE HAD HAD MY LIPS TATTOOED BY SOMEBODY ELSE? CAN I STILL BOOK WITH YOU?

I do not touchup some other artist's work or work over previous work done by another artist. I only work on natural lips that have not been tattooed before. If you have a previous tattoo, you can send in a photo of them to be advised. In very rare cases, I do take clients who have had previous work that is undetectable, but a lot of the time I cannot and will not work over other artists work.

Important

If you’ve had previous work done by another artist, please email or text us a clear photo of your brows for a consultation at kristinedicapmu@gmail.com
Failure to do so may result in a forfeit of your booking fee.

Previous work that is light enough for a Lip Blush/Neutralisation will be treated as a new service.

A £100 NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKING FEE IS REQUIRED TO SECURE YOUR BOOKING AND WILL BE APPLIED TO THE FINAL BALANCE

If the client reschedules the appointment within 72 hours of the appointment or does not show up, a rebooking fee of  £100 will be applied.

Please double check that all of your contact info is correct when booking, so you can receive the proper notifications. We are flexible with rescheduling initial appointment as long as it’s done within 72 hours prior to the appointment. You are allowed to reschedule your initial appointment only once.
